Project Overview
For this project the school wanted a a solution for two specific areas. Area one required a single gate along with a double gate that was lockable. There were also some challenges with height changes as the fence stepped up into a garden. The posts were also cut into paving stones and the paving was reinstated.
On the second longer run of school fencing we started with a flange post up against a building with a panel and pedestrian gate. This went to a longer run of school fencing then up a hill using raking panels into another gate and another raking fence run.
16mm Verticals Vs 25mm Verticals?
One of the big challenges of school fencing is ensuring the the fence panel is strong enough to take the daily strain put on the fence and gates by regular use. This is why we recommend Assure HD aluminium fencing panels. These panel are super strong and come in a raking panel which is not available with other suppliers.
Weld underside
Please see this video below of a school fence with 16mm verticals that we needed to replace. The problem with 16mm verticals is in the way that the bottom vertical intersects the bottom rail. It is important that the vertical rail goes through the bottom rail and is not just welded to the bottom side. A through rail is much stronger than a rail that has been cut short and bottom welded.
